zen

I’ve been working on dropping food onto the floor in front of her and having her zen it. She can also zen food in my hand when my hand is moving and zen food in front of her while I am eating in front of her.
She has developed great dinner time zen manners, she lays down facing away from the table and waits for a treat. If she feels it has been too long without a treat she gets up, circles around and lays down again to make sure we noticed her.Watch/eyes

I never thought getting a dog to wear a jacket would take such creative training, but its actually been a good behavior to teach me problem solving. She really doesnt like a jacket looming over her, or the feel of it laying on her back. I figured out a good way to minimize the loom-iness of the jacket was to have her jump up on a chair while I kneeled on the floor in front of it. that way the jacket came from below rather than above. I also had to hold the jacket open with two hands, hold a treat between my lips and stick that treat through the head hole to slowly lure her to stick her head through the jacket head hole. eventually I could slip it all the way over her head and leave it there for a short time.
