We went hiking today on Story Hill, it felt like we were in Scotland with all the rolling hills and was a nice, if a little bit unexciting, hike. The trail meanders through grassy hills and was maybe a mile, we inadvertently started at the top of the trail and then looped out and came around, ending at the bottom. Then we had to walk up the hill to get back to the van. On the way up the road we worked on loose leash walking and Scherzo did great, just as she did at Hyalite. We’ve discovered she can do looseleash on walks with wide trails or roads- she is improving, I mean this was a completely new and exciting place.
Scherzo found a bone on the side of the trail, as she always does. This time it was a spine.

At the top we sat on the hill, enjoying the breeze and looking out over Bozeman. We could see the Library, Main Street, the railroads etc and Mackenzie once again made fun of me for not making maps in my head and being able to identify all the buildings. We all ate canned mangoes (Scherzo spit hers out), drank water and laid in the shade of the van.
