We’ve about seen everything down there. Well of course today we ended up seeing two otters scrapping on the other side of the river. They were making a huge racket of high pitched squeals. It got the dogs riled up and scherzo tried to swim across the river to get them, but about halfway across she gave up and came back. She loves to swim but I wouldn’t say she’s very strong at it, the jefferson is pretty calm, but that tide was too much for her.

Then we saw three deer swimming across. I’d never seen deer ford a river before. They swam it easily then got to the other side and jumped the fence. The last deer misjudged and fell over more than jumped.
